It's not corned beef and cabbage -- but it is ground beef and cabbage. This medley tastes similar to stuffed peppers -- but without the peppers. Never fear, it's chock full of flavor.
Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. chopped cabbage
1 lb. ground sirloin, browned
1 medium chopped onion
1 14 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 cup uncooked rice
1 14 oz. can low fat vegetable broth
Salt and pepper to taste
Methods/steps
Mix all ingredients except broth in large bowl. Transfer to 9x13 inches baking dish and pour broth over the top. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 60 minutes, then uncovered for 30 minutes (or until rice is cooked). If it starts to dry out before rice cooks, add 1/2 cup water over top and stir.
